Phlox divaricata (Wild Sweet William/Woodland Phlox)
Price: $12.99

A lovely surprise for the woodland garden in March and early April, this hardy perennial has true blue flowers and is fragrant to boot. It forms a low mat of green foliage (red tinged in cold weather) and sends up blooms on 10 inch stems in early spring. Stoloniferous but also reseeding happily, this plant works in sun or shade. Particularly nice with the bright yellow of Celandine Poppy.
